Youth MODE
Youth MODE (Genç MODE), MODE İstanbul’un gençlik medya çalışmaları birimidir; bu alanda atölyeler, seminerler, film gösterimleri ve toplantılar düzenler, ortaklıklar kurar, projeler üretir ve etkinlikler yürütür.
Doc Next Network Youth MODE biriminin tasarladığı ve yürüttüğü ana projelerden biridir:
2010 yılı itibariyle European Cultural Foundation tarafından başlatılan ve Youth MODE’un Türkiye temsilcisi olduğu Gençlik ve Medya Programı Avrupa’nın yeni belgeselcileri ve kanaat önderlerinin fikir ve görüşlerini sunmayı ve yaymayı hedeflemektedir. Program, ana mecralarda söz sahibi olamayan gençlere, iletişimde bulunabilme ve tartışmalara katılabilme fırsatını verir.
ECF Gençlik ve Medya Programı’nın en önemli projelerinden olan Doc Next Network, medya alanında gençler ile çalışan, belgesel ve diğer medya prodüksiyonlarını destekleyen bağımsız kültürel/medya kuruluşlarının oluşturduğu bir ortaklık ağıdır. MODE İstanbul da bu ağın Türkiye’deki partneridir.
MODE İstanbul yanında British Film Institute - Future Film (İngiltere), Amsterdam Uluslararası Belgesel Film Festivali / IDFA (Hollanda), Metropolis TV (Hollanda), Zemos98 (İspanya) ve The Association of the Creative Initatives “ę” Doc Nex Network partner organizasyonlarıdır. Bu kültürel kuruluşlar, belgesel film ve medya atölyeleri düzenleyerek henüz ilk çıkışlarını yapmakta olan genç medya profesyonellerini desteklerler; ayrıca gençlerin değerleri fikirlerini dile getirmek için medyayı kullanmalarının önemini vurgulayan etkinlikler düzenler ve platformlar kurarlar.

Youth MODE is the youth media works unit of MODE Istanbul; it organizes workshops, seminars, film screenings and gatherings, forms partnerships, initiates and implements projects and coordinates activities related to the youth media field.
Initiated in 2010 by European Cultural Foundation and represented in Turkey by MODE Istanbul, the Youth & Media Programme aims to bring forward the views and opinions of European emerging documentary makers and opinion formers. To ensure an inclusive public opinion and debate, the programme gives access to young people who are likely to be excluded from the mainstream public discourse.
Doc Next Network, one of the ECF Youth & Media Programme’s core projects, is a partner network of independent cultural and media organisations in Europe that work with young people and media. Their activities support and showcase documentaries and media productions. MODE Istanbul is the Turkish partner of this network.
Alongside MODE Istanbul, the network includes the British Film Institute – Future Film (UK), International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam - IDFA (Netherlands), Metropolis TV (Netherlands), Zemos98 (Spain) and The Association of the Creative Initatives “ę”. These cultural organisations set up media and documentary workshops to support the development of young emerging media professionals. They also organise gatherings and platforms that acknowledge the importance of media-use by young people expressing valuable opinions.
