StrangerAcademy için bu kez de Amsterdam’daydık!
StrangerFestival’in yıllık buluşması StrangerAcademy, 13-17 Ekim tarihlerinde Amsterdam’da Studio K adlı kültür sanat merkezinde ikinci kez gerçekleşti. Dünyanın birçok yerinden gelen 15-25 yaşlarında 150′den fazla genç, video ve hikaye anlatımı tekniklerini geliştirmek üzere profesyönellerce verilen atölyelere katıldı, diğer katılımcılara videolarını gösterme ve onlarla fikir alışverişinde bulunma fırsatı yakaladı. Türkiye’den Burçin Çakmak, Up Close and Personal adlı atölyeye, Ilgın Deniz Akseloğlu ise Change A Tiny World adlı atölyeye katıldı. MODE ISTANBUL takım lideri ve yapımcı Gökçe Su Yoğurtçuoğlu da UNICEF tarafından desteklenen Change A Tiny World adlı atölyenin eğitmenlerindendi ve “Experts Meeting” adı altında yeni medya alanında gerçekleşen panel ve eğitimlere katıldı. StrangerAcademy kapsamında gerçekleşen tüm atölyelerde çekilen videolar yakında Stranger websitesinde yayınlanacak.
Festival boyunca Studio K’de kurulan lounge alanında Türkiye atölyesinden seçilen videoların gösterimi gerçekleştirildi. Cinematic bölümünde Recep Kupik’in “Kill Your TV” videosu, Impact bölümünde Mine İpek Uğurlu’nun “Uneasy” videosu, Comedy bölümünde Volkan Karataş’ın “The Kiss” videosu, Shuffle bölümünde Ilgın Deniz Akseloğlu’nun “Onion” videosu, Audience Awards bölümünde de Burçin Çakmak’ın finale kalan “I Love…” videosu gösterildi. Son gece yapılan ödül töreninde tüm finale kalan videolar izlendi ve birinciler belirlendi. Tören internetten canlı olarak yayınlandı.

StrangerFestival’s annual event StrangerAcademy took place for the second time between October 13th and 17th in Amsterdam at the arts and culture center Studio K. Over 150 video-makers between the ages of 15 and 25 from across the world got together to improve their skills in video and storytelling. They all took part in one of the professional-led StrangerAcademy workshops and show their work to an audience of experts and other video fans. Burçin Çakmak from Turkey joined the workshop called Up Close and Personal; and Ilgın Deniz Akseloğlu joined the workshop called Change A Tiny World. MODE ISTANBUL team leader and producer Gökçe Su Yoğurtçuoğlu on the other hand was one of the facilitators of Change A Tiny World workshop commissioned by UNICEF; she also attended a series of panels and workshops for professionals under the name “Experts Meeting“. All the videos completed at workshops during the StrangerAcademy will be streamed online soon.
Throughout the festival, Turkish videos were showcased along with the others at the lounge of Studio K.
